This
collage of New York City was created as a tribute to the
World Trade Center. The following photographs were
used:
The panorama in the lower foreground of
the Downtown waterfront was created by stitched together a
set of six photographs. A second panorama constructed
from six photos of the Brooklyn bridge is in the upper
background. From left to right, additional photos
include The Coca-Cola advertisement at Times
Square with the words "We live as many, we stand as
one" (unfortunately no longer there), Stars
and Stripes at Rockefeller Center, in the foreground is the
sphere from the World Trade Center plaza which was recovered
and moved to Battery Park with an eternal flame placed in
front of it. At the top is a view of Times
Square looking south down 7th Avenue, two
views of buildings with fire escapes in Greenwich Village,
The famous photo of two firemen raising the Stars and
Stripes, the Statue of
Liberty, a fireman looking up at the remains of the steel
structure of the WTC, and finally at the right is a photo of
the two searchlights used as a tribute to the WTC during
2002. Thanks
to Bob for the suggestion to produce this special Collage
